sold 10%
I know this might go to 5-7$ , but now for disciplined profit booking .
I sold 10% of my holdings . Was holding 1.1million stocks at 18 cents . Sold 100k today at 2.65.Will sell next tranch at 3.5 ,5 and so on ...Profit booking never killed anyone or made losses

I know ,a vacation for sure , I am posting less and less now , watching the bashers and pumpers . Have a new car Audi s4 bought it last year , paid off the Ex , Paid off the mortgage .I guess I will need to find a place to deploy some of the funds for retirement . 4% returns per year is good enough for me to have home expenses covered .

Agree Oil n Gas is place to be . I like ATH more than MEG , torque is better . Honestly .I had 95% of my portfolio in Oilgas , now I have droped to 85% . so still holding on. Need to get more $$$s out and diversify . I sold and got all into oil in 2020 . Need stability now ...Lol

Yes, I had exactly the same experience as you did. Scared to death about my investment situation 2 years ago. Having mostly recovered from the abyss, I have left 1/2 my proceeds in Cash. Feel more comfortable holding MEG than ATH . Again, nice trading on your part so far, just be protected on the downside in case the unexpected comes up.

Good on you Manitoba. You bought when these companies looked like they wouldn't survive. Big risk got you these big rewards. Don't feel bad about it. You earned it. Mas

I don't hold the same amount of shares that you do, and I got to the party much later, BUT I did sell 25% today for a nice profit. So at this point we can take multiple cruises ;) Mas (And my BTE is just killing it this week)

ALL The cool kids own both. Ath and bte are my largest holdings outside seg funds, index funds etf's. Aka my "fun" portfolio.

Remember "FANG" stocks? It was all you had to own. Until it wasn't. Bad day brought to you today by the letter "N". I guess the acronym makers can't just drop the "N" and say the rest is ok. Or it's okay now that Facebook changed its name?

Thinking of buying utilities , pipelines , canadian banks and northwest healthcare REITs. Hospitals and healthcare is recession proof business .Especially when your tenants are governement funded healthcare as in UK and Australia . They have diversified into US now

Hard to beat cdn banks in a raising interest rate environment. No 10X or 20X return but no -90% either. Zzzzzzz

Higher rates are nice 2nd and bigger part of that is spreads on yields. why the US banks been sucking spreads came in even inverted for a point . Utilities are very pricy here. Recession stocks doing well Wallmart so many move down to shop there same story the 2 dollar stores , Defence stocks look good , Nato and others are buying for years to come, thats about it /shrug

LOL! It's our government's indifference to non voting citizens that killed people. Nice way to reward citizens born and raised in Canada who have worked and paid taxes for their entire life. It appears that only special interest groups get any attention these days. Mas

I Agree ,this is coming from a minority individual ,recent immigrant to Canada . The vocal minorities have taken the centrestage and needs to change ,the country caters to everyone not one minority only .

Generally this would be a smart move but not now. They print money like crazy and inflation is through the roof. If I were you I wouldn't leave any cash hanging for nothing, at least buy some energy stock that was lagging or that pays dividends.
