One way or a another by ER December

I personally want Chen to grow russian pair and walk away from the deal since i'm now 99% sure the buying party is just fking with him. These patents are hardware patents and shouldn't take this long. The buying party is doing this to destroy patent time-value....and to drag down the stock price for next few years since Chen said it will take another year to get back to $250m a year licensing rev when deal falls through.

Why are they doing this? They are doing this for Chen's retirement in 2 years. They want to keep the price down below $17 by Nov 2023. Think about this....It will take one year before licensing rev goes back to 250mil. The iot and cyber will grow no doubt BUT analyst will always give reasons why it should be 15x($30) sales. or 10x sales ($20) to keep the stock oppressed.

Chen has fallen in trap due to these corrupted and compromised lawyers are Blackberry. They made chen miss his line in sand of Nov 30th. We are approaching US holidays where everything shuts down in December so think about this for a second. Steve Rai said "one way or another" by December ER.

At this point best to walk away and start discussions over with other parties and time bound the discussions to max 2 months. Sell patents to China if you have to and screw up every US  tech companies. List the damn shares on China stock exchange too so these corrupt HF on WS can't manipulate stock price.

we have some amatures at ST, see link below. He thinks why would the buying party spend million on lawyers and analysis to back out last minute!!! Do peope not see that HF and rogue countries and people have spent millions to supreess the stock for this long. I'm willling to bet that our enemies are willing to spend over 100 million if they can destroy BB, even more.  spending 10million ...more

Admit that I'm starting to lean in the direction of BB being played by FB and patent suitors. An uneasy feeling one may acquire just by waiting. Not so much this board's detractors convincing me, I've had that thought ever since I saw the PR that said negotiating definitive agreement. I'd rather see definitive agreement has been reached.  SM like an abattoir, kicking a dog ...more

Hedge, I think you're right in acknowledging the lawyers know more about it than you do... or any of us. If there's exclusivity there might also be a pay to play clause. There's obviously much we don't know and we may never know. So far I like what I've heard... Price agreed on. Large upfront payment, with long tail. Complicated deal, with backup buyer(s) and most likely done ...more

Dude Brenda and other ladies on ST used to theorize aboout who our true enemy was few years back. Trust me we have some deep pocketed enemies that don't care about losing few hundred millions if they can force BB to sell to US or make us go bankrupt!! they will even spend close to billions if they have to.  Apple's fund use to come up often....they are second largest holder of BB ...more

Russian, with due respect, I don't think you trust yourself vis-a-vis your investment in BlackBerry. If you don't trust the CEO or attorneys working for company or, as you have expressed, anyone... then why the heck does a feller like you hang out for 8 long years. I mean, one either exits ship at next port or waits for deal to play out. Beyond that, I trust you didn't invest in BB ...more

i'm not counting on Ivy to save the day. Ivy is not going to make much dent to BB revenue, it's cybersec that should bring us dough. CRWD already bringing in 1.4 bil rev in 2 years. I think as Ai war heats up the winner will be S1, Crwd, and BB taking entire CS pie.  Ivy will be in 100mil cars by 2030 (best case). Lets say $1 per month per car so that's $100m per month from Ivy ...more

Russian, I would be very interested in hearing your BB story from 2013 onward. That is, if you can portray it in a few paragraphs or less. As for the part of your post that deals with Ivy, I see the AWS Ivy partnership differently, but going to step aside and let one of the other fellers chime in.

The new hire from McAfee should be given leeway to play in the consumer space. Billions of consumer devices need a great product like cylance.
