@ Howard46 - Maybe.  I held Certicom stock when BB (RIM at the time) bought it out.  Didn't get what I though it was worth but that was then and this is now.

No doubt a lot of us have been through that scenario Greenday. Good luck to all of us in the days ahead.    .

@ Howard46 - If I can recall exactly the takeout offer from BB(RIM) was close to $3 ($2.90 maybe).  A far cry from the $40 it shot up the day it graduated from the TSX to the Nasdaq and the close to $300 ($280 or something) at its peak during the tech bubble.   I spoke to Certicom's investor relations when the deal was announced and they told me they believed the offer from RIM ...more

@ Howard46 - So yea.  BB(RIM) acquired Certicom for $106.5M after their initial bid of $53M was trumped by VeriSign.  Would have to check BB's financials to see what that software is being carried on the books today but that was back in 2009.

Right now, if some entity were to come forward and offer $14 CAD to buy BB, I would be more than happy to sell my shares.

Chen has been giving lot of employees shares so he better not have fked them over. Lot of his employees have stuck with him for 9 years so he better not fk them over.  John giamotyo was given 300k shares. I'm sure he's not stupid to sell at 14 cad and get screwed like that. John giamotyo is exec so if he sniffs Chen trying to fk him over I'm sure it won't go well.
