Confident

I remain quite confident about this stock. The market overreacted today, the (relatively) small change in net proceeds from the sale to Alstom does not justify the exaggerated drop in sp we saw today. A nice opportunity  to buy more shares as I believe the sp will most likely go back in the 0.70´s before Feb 11 and then will be close to 1$ soon after, then once the psychological wall of 1$ is broken the sp could reach close to 2$ before the end of the year, IMHO.

Small change? They had already discounted for 500 million because of Covid and now adjusments of 400 million. 1 billion is huge when you have that amount of debt with a lot of interests on it and you are now relying only on aircrafts. I believe the drop was not exagerated but it could go back up if feb 11 is good.

I think the reason why the price started to go down is simple. The shorts want to start moving this stock so they can play their games again, and I'm sure they've covered. But there is very little demand for this stock from retail investors. Because the shorts have beaten this stock down to nothing. So the retail investment isn't there. The only thing left on this stock is, the day ...more

I thought that EM would exceed expectations and get more from Alstom but alas, we got less*.  I think its normal that the share price got beat down. Still has a lot of upside but debt and interest cost is still too high.

Right, we got less, didn't help the SP for sure!

If we we would of got more from Alstom, we would of been close to $0.80, and maybe more!

especially with all the contracts trains that BT got recentally, and get less, is pretty much surprising!
Comment by flamingogold on Jan 30, 2021 12:30pm
Why is everyone mezmorized about the lower final closing cost adjustments? We are in covid, public transportation is way down, 90% in most major cities. BT was a cancer, it's unfortunate Canada lost this, but without further financal support it just had to go. Every quarter there were additional cash sucking surprises, this last quarter was no different. The good news... it's over! What ...more

I agree . We are lucky they sold it . Or bbd would be finished .
Comment by bicente on Jan 30, 2021 12:56pm
You are correct that we got lucky when the CSeries was unloaded ... it still costed us a ton of cash and I am mesmerized as to why none of the money that was used to developed it could not have been recuperated .. it seems like the bomber can not negotiate themselves out of their own bed ... thankfully they are not selling anything else and now they can just focus on building jets , which they are ...more

I think bbd still own  CANADAIR in montreal (where they used to make parts CRJ) i have heared long time ago that bbd was planing or nego to sell the land and itwas estimated around 75 million i do not realy know if bbd still own it, or if it was sold but i think, if bbd still own it, it will be sold soon, and Eric Martel or.. will take about it on Feb 11
Comment by BBDB859 on Jan 30, 2021 3:18pm
Hey Bicente. The fact that they are not good negotiators is not the only problem. They are also lining their own pockets with the spoils as well. Especially PB. Is he still getting $6 Million dollar a year salary for all these terible decisions regarding the company? Is beyond comprehension. Anyone with his job resume would have on the UNEMPLOYMENT LINE by now. Cheers

P.B. his salary should of been cut by half, long time ago, and others too!!
