Gulfstream G800

G800 has a range of 8000 NM and its cabin is 8 feet shorter then Global 7500. Global 7500 has a range of 7700 NM. It looks like Gulfstream is struggling to box in Global 7500. For 300NM gain you get shorter aircraft. Gulfstream took G650ER fuselage and slapped on G700 engine and wings. I wonder if Bombardier and GE can improve on passport fuel burn and gain the 300NM distance without too much expense. Maybe have an option for AUX fuel tank.

The G450 won't go into service till 2025 & the G800 will not come to market till the end of 2023. GD must be trying to stay significant, or close to the top in the business jet field. All business jet manufacturers are scared of Bombardier who was the Leader in the Business jet market for decades. Especially now that the Bomber is working hard trying to get their market share back from ...more

I'm no business jet specialist by any means by if you check the promo for the g800, it's all about being the best Gulfstream ever made. If you check the promo about the globals and 3500, it's about being the best of its class (across all makers).. Finally, I think we all need to accept that Gulfstream will get some orders. bbd have a few years before gulfstream new jets hit the market General Dynamics said it expects to start customer deliveries of the G800 in 2023, while deliveries of the G400 are estimated to begin in 2025.
