Deliveries

Does anyone know what is going on with deliveries?  I have been feeling like there has been a lack of posting lately regarding deliveries and so I just checked CAAR for exports for the last 30 days and only count 6 for Bombardier.  While that would not account for any domestically delivered aircraft, I would not think there woudl be too many Canadian deliveries.  Where BBD is supposed to deliver 120 this year, I'm thinking that there should be a big rush of deliveries soon.  Any information on this would be appreciated (because we can pretty much track company success off the delivery numbers).

sorry - that should have been "CCAR" - Canadian Civil Aircraft Register.

We don't know anything so far.  A few of us posted on the subject and we can't find a reason for the slowndown of these last few weeks. I guess you might have read those postings but last year's 4th quarter deliveries is pretty much what we need at this point and, from what I've read, some of us are still optimistic about reaching the goal.  i'll add that we'll ...more

I dont know how true it is for bombardier, but I have been told that in this industry there is always big push to get parts/modules/aircraft out end of each month but more so on each end of quarter. Delivery in generally has been more on last 2 weeks of the month compared to first 2 weeks. It could be that Bombardier pulled on October inventory to make Sept and q3 look better. This practice ...more

I am not worried they can deliver, in 2019 they deliver 52 and it was jam packed at the end of the trimester/year.

Good to hear, I didn't remember that. This brings a question for you Mic... Was it just business at 52 or was it all aircrafts?  Because we don't have so many models and as such should have less deliveries than that 52... that's why I'm thinking about last year's numbers.

Business jet only: 2019- Small 3, Medium 28, Large 21 for a total of 52 2020- Small 4, Medium 12, Large 28 for a total of 44

Thanks Mic.. good info and like you said, the eoy target is achievable based on these numbers. I didn't search for the numbers, you got them from Bombardier's website?

While it is nice to hear news of deliveries it is similar to the debt in that it is something that is under control and being well managed . One delivery or three up or down will not change anything. Real story imo continues to be the distress level P/E multiple and yes it is far better than it was but it should never have been so low.

To me, and i am sure to a lot of other investors, it is a matter of credibility.  The reason for the distress level P/E multiple is that the company has a problem with this in the past.  This year, the company raised its delivery projections from 110-120 to 120.  They therefore must meet it because if they can't meet this year's projections, then why should we believe the ...more

Bellemare won the Oscar for broken promises. Martel is on parth to win one for meeting/exceeding them.

Hey Juan. Although I know that their P/E ratio should be higher. We are now just begining our journey with BBA. We need to see 1 full year statements minimum. We need to see what this company can really do. We need the EPS to increase. It is getting better already. The company is positive on EPS and we are now getting to the place, where we can compare it with our pears. The fact that the share ...more

Hi again Juan. Sorry I was busy this morning, and had to dash out so I shortened my response to you. I get the concern u have over the P/E being so low for Bombardier, compared to it's pears. But you have to understand why that is so. Last year till January 2021, when we still had BT on the books, we really couldn't compare the P/E ratio to what we are going to get this year for the ...more
