Balancing out Sectors

They are starting to balance out Growth in Deliveries. I think the most we'll see annually in the next few years is 155 annually. Because they probably see that number as suffecient, to cover B to B activity.

They are slowing down the LTD repayment to at most $800M to $1B by the end of 2025. If they pay down another $500 to $1B it won't come till the end of 2026.

I think they're careful in keeping cash on hand high, so they can start to balance this activity of deliveries from Q/1 through to Q/4. They are incorporating the G800 into the mix in 2025 too. So they are growing still in Revs, so that posses a problem in consistancy, and therefore they want the cash on hand to have the flexability to even acquire a Belfast if necessary.

Good news all around in my books.

a little surprised by Bar's comment of paying 800M in debt be end of 2025, I was expecting it to be 1.0 to 1.2 Bil given the expected FCF generation One point I don't agree is that I don't think Belfast will cost us must to acquire and very possible we might get a cash payment to take it over much like the Spirit and Airbus deal.  However I think Belfast is a bit of a pig cash ...more

That's a good chunk of doe there sir. Why did you wait so long?

Belfast is probably another reason they are keeping all that cash in hand. M is smart to want others to take it over. They'll step in if necessary he said. They need to stay out investing in every first or second tear companies, that are having trouble. These moves will take their focuss off their ability to grow where it matters. the BJ production is the sweet spot.

I don't know how happy you are with the drop in SP for the 10k that you just picked up yesterday? Don't worry they'll go up. But this how I started to accumulate such a heavy position. It's just an observation. You do as you please.  As for Belfast. Someone here, an ex-Bomber employee told us recently, that it is very heavily skilled labor intensive. Old equipment, old ...more

Pretty annoyed given what I paid.  Tempted to grab some more but this drop yesterday and today has made me a tad nervous.  No reason to be because the fundamentals are all there thanks for the info on Belfast.  I wonder how long the contract is for them to supply wings, etc to us and we should just build a new plant in say Wichita or Savannah, all state of the art in a non union ...more

The problem with Belfast is the huge Pension liabilities (read the old Financial Statements of when we owned it). This taking on of a huge workforce, will drop the Margins so hard, our head will spin. This acquisition is no joke. Even for a company that does $9B in Revs. The problem is that the BJ industry isn't that profitable, and the commercial side is even less profitable (that's ...more

So the question is how long is the existing contract for them to supply parts?  Do we have enough time to build a new factory in North America with a new workforce and let someone else have Belfast.  Who cares about the Irish Unions, we aren't buying squat.  We open a non union factory in Savannah, Wichita, etc with a brand new workforce Not worried about my order yesterday ...more

Check Sedar for the length of the contract with Sprint. I don't think they'll even tell us. That's probably private info (confidential for competative reasons). EM said something on the ER earlier. See if you can figure it out. It's not that easy to just pack-up. There could be law suits flying everywhere depending on the union contracts, the pension liabilities etc. Don't ...more

I have looked and so far haven't been able to figure it out, but there would be a contract to supply parts for a duration Lawsuits wouldn't involve us.  Spirit has the contract to supply wings, etc to BBD at a set price for a set time.  Spirit has the pension liabilities, the union contracts, the plants, etc, nothing to do with BBD.  In simple terms the buyer of a Global ...more

I'm aware of what you're saying. It's not that easy to pack up and go from Ireland. When Bombardier bought Shorts from the Irish, and operated the plant for 30 years. Bombardier could have or may have gotten into numerous contracts & commitments with the Govt of Ireland & the Shorts Bros unions. Example. One consent may have been to get money from the Irish Govt. Could have ...more

they only take the committments back if they buy Spirit. if they buy wings, etc from Spirit or another owner of Spirit there are no committments if they start their own wing plant elsewhere there are no committments

Ok.You know the situation then. I'll leave u to it. Wichita it is.

jesus man, its an idea.  Any good business leader comes up with multiple options Not really sure why we want an ancient factory, no mechanized/robotic that is very laborious and inefficient with a mega union pension and other liabilities holding us down like a boat anchor.  That is exactly what I would be saying to Spirit during negotions I am happy to listen as to WHY we need to ...more

Hey Sock4. Is this post referring to me? If it is. We're on the same page. Right Now, I'm just saying that we have a ton of things on our plate as a company, to get into the parts business. Your idea is good with Witchita. But remember the size of plant replacing Shorts, could be around the $500M range. Plus would those Irish employees relocate there, to make the transition seemless? ...more

859 yes it is, and I am not saying Wichita, it could be anywhere I don't think we need the Irish employees if we build a new plant.  We hire fresh new workers in the USA (assuming the plant is in the USA).  Lets face it, it would be a brand new plant, robotics, much less manual, etc and their current training to the current plant would be worthless in a modern state of the air plant ...more

No comment on your 22K purchase. GL there. The idea of repatriating Belfast is interesting. If we get it for the right price, where Spirit/Boeing takes some of the pension liabilities, and gives us $250M kickback along the Airbus lines? Then, we could put the plant in the St. Laurent complex. We have plenty of land there, and the Assembly Facility there for the Challengers could use a facelift ...more

859, I will see what happens tomorrow with the share price I couldn't comment on a deal with Spirit as I have no idea what the plant is like and the liabilities it holds.  250M could be great, it could be a joke I have no idea Why would we build a plant in a heavy pro union laws with anti scab protections when we could build in Georgia or other LCOL place.  There is a reason why ...more

Johnney, I'll make you a deal.  I will post proof of one of my buys, as I said I bought it in 2 parts, if you post proof of your position in BBD first. Don't know why I really care, but hey I'll post if you will.  If you don't want to hey no worries

Trader4. You know we're all  normal people here, with families and kids we Invested for in the Bomber. We're not here to be toyed with. Most of these guys here have gotten stuck holding the bag on this stock and don't have any more money to invest in this stock. They are barely trying to get their investment out. I for one had to average down my kids portfolio 2 or 3 times. I ...more

Based on your earlier comments today and the above that this board is filled with investors with poor track records why would anyone listen to people desperate to get their money back.  Not me Best ...more
