Sounds good, except many of its competitors such as NVA , PIPE and Maybe even CR will also be about the same time. The difference however is that those companies will also experience significant  production growth. So what's their secret ? Easy, payouts on drilling that are significantly shorter than 12 months. You can have your cake and eat it too !!

Well if everyone will be debt free....perhaps the next round of consolidation/M&A activity will start at that point. I still believe in the possibility of TOU picking up BIR.  Mike Rose and Jeff Tonken have collaborated on initiatives in the past. Makes sense that they could come to an agreement for a takeover at some point. BIR would make a good low cost bolt on for TOU.  I have ...more

It very much sounds like Bir is being groomed for a take-over, privatisation or a merger, thats OK and I own some BIR but I still like the thought of companies that are out to develop their reserves, for which BIR has plenty. Eventually, the North American nat gas market will free itself of the shackles put on it and reserves will become a valuable assaet. Unfortunately , for BIR holders ,it may ...more
