Two possible factors
Timing - everyone is planning for next year right now ... maintaining oversupply will stymie growth and investment plans at these lower prices
Omicron - they are writing it off, betting on all clear in January and basically no dip in consumption.
Dunno. Short term ;(

Hmmm ... but on the plus side, maybe no SPR release. Maybe folks have been a bit too quick to write this off as a non-event.

SPR was a none event OPEC figured (only sour anyhow) Omi "con" they are calling a con.... So really OPEC looks less knee jerk than Biden

I guess you could argue a lower price (gas too) should accellerate usage and depletion...

It certainly does setup 2022 and 2023 inventories really not going anywhere and US production basically flat with all the drilling
