why is there article on Ninepoint saying "freeze redemption"

Why is there an article on Mar 4  circulating with title "Private debt manager, Ninepoint freezes investor redemptions on four funds"... Anyone know whether it is of any significance to Ninepoint energy fund and energy income fund ?... I didn't like hearing something like "...freezes investor redemptions..."

good for the rest of us, means they wont be flooding shares on the market if people want to sell for fear or to take profits

It's unrelated. The funds in question consist of loans made to high(er) risk borrowers. Turns out these investments aren't all that liquid. Assuming that the energy funds consist of shares in companies that trade actively on regulated stock markets, they won't have the same problem.
