I wish that I had more money to be a buyer here.
Oil is going to pop back towards 80.00 and we will have missed this buying opportunity sub 5.00 levels.
Too bad I'm already all in and now underwater.

Just to clarify my original post I'm not a seller (for tax loss as my cost base is really low) but would look at adding on this weakness provided by the tax loss sellers.. You are correct about the 30 day loss crystalization clause.. this is why I think today's levels are attractive as some will be looking to buy back in the new year IMO..??

That being said I just put my money where my mouth is and grabbed more at $4.28-4.29.. I'm happy with that price.. ;-)

I just bought 100k shares at $4.29. I am also happy with that price. Hang in there Baytex investors. The rewards will come.

Superficial losses - "30 day loss crystalization clause" - also apply accross accounts and to some affiliated parties such as a spouse including common law. It can be easy to get tripped up this, if you are booking losses it is important to fully understand its application. p. 37 https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/cra-arc/formspubs/pub/t4037/t4037-22e.pdf
