Thanks for the article. Great opportunity out for the students and the company. CEO had a mention of the Waterloo relationship on his last presentation. While uncertainty will always exist, I secured a few more shares today. Hard to ignore the eco friendly aspects of CVX, the Lafarge relationship and the major dollars to be poured into infrastructure investments in North America in the coming ...more

When the results from this trial between Lafarge and CVX come out don't be surprised to see Lafarge buying a stake in CVX in the form of about 10% It will purely be based on investment. Which if i was the ceo of Lafarge that's what I would do. Especially when the share price of CVX sits as low as it is now, carrying CVX across the globe on all road projects mean, the share price will go to ...more

Sergey Averyanov from the university of Waterloo did a paper on the use of cellular concrete as a sub base for road construction.  Google it.  There are several articles referencing this topic.  If our governments ever clue in, this could become a standard.  The soils in southwestern Ontario and Michigan are very high in organic matter and water saturated making them weak for ...more

Well done there Vin. With this partnership the implications are vast What do you think CVX will do once this test turns out to be the perfect solution Well let me try to list them Lafarge may take a 10% stake in CvX Lafarge also may take CVX as exclusive partner in road construction. That means CVX is everywhere with Lafarge around the globe Now CVX also has other options. Is Lafarge the only ...more

Thanks for the link.  I read about this partnership a while back.  Glad to see they are still partnered and testing the application of CC.  Cematrix will be starting the $15M contract (bridge abutments) in the US here shortly which will be completed in 2022.

Hey topstock Is this straight from the horses mouth The $15 m contract that is. How many contracts are they currently working on for Q3 ?
Comment by TopStockBuy on Aug 24, 2021 7:52pm
King, I don't know any specifics on how many contracts for Q3.  We will hopefully get clarification tomorrow.  As for the $15M contract, construction has begun on the bridge abutments, but not for Cematrix just yet.  Their work has been delayed.  Again, hopefully tomorrow we get more clarification on apox start date which should be this year.

Really encouraging news: like others here mentioned, builds on the strong relationship with Larfarge. The other huge benefit is the connection with the University of Waterloo. My brother and another good friend of mine graduated in the civil engineering program many years ago. Needless to say the UoW is well known for their strong engineering programs. Many engineers will learn about the ...more

I have a newphew that went the university of Waterloo engineering route.  He is now a product manager for a major Canadian construction company.  He had heard of cematrix or cellular concrete 10 months ago.  Now he is seeing it a few times a week.
Comment by vinmick on Aug 22, 2021 3:44pm
Sorry.  He had NOT heard of cellular concrete.
