Executive Compensation, Update!
As you now all know, I have openly questioned Chemtrade's Executive Compensation plans and especially the accountability of those plans to unitholders. In fact, no one has even questioned the bogus numbers that Chemtrade's Executive Compensation Committee has been using to reward it's Executive staff members until now!
Well, yet again I am glad to report that Chemtrade has looked into my comments concerning their executive compensation plans and have decided to create a new postion to address those deficiencies!
Manager, Executive Compensation and Strategic Initiatives Reporting directly to the GVP, HR and Responsible Care, this is a key role that supports all the Executive Compensation programs, the Unit Purchase Program and closed DB Pension Plans (US and Canada). The role will also lead and support strategic HR initiatives. The ideal candidate is someone who has an eye for detail, is numbers oriented, has an acute business sense and thrives on working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Executive compensation
- Work closely with the Legal team in the preparation of the annual proxy circular. Prepare all tables related to the disclosures and provide write ups
- Internal subject matter expert for all Long Term Incentive and other executive programs, including:
- Prepare LTIP reporting for finance and legal disclosures on a regular cadence
- Support audits as it relates to the LTIP program
- Administer and support Chemtrade’s Long Term Incentive Program through Shareworks
What I find most interesting about this position description is that contains the following phrase, "someone who has an eye for detail, is numbers oriented"!
Just think Scott Rook, my recent comments on SH will result in your Trust being a better corporate citizen and it did not cost you a cent in consulting fees!
