Looks like selling CJ was the right move

Bought more Baytex yesterday.  It has life. Wish I had dumped all my CJ.

Thank you.  Nice to see CJ get a little bump here too although it should still be way higher.

I took a position yesterday. It's trading below fundamentals and with an announcement expected on shareholder reward next month, I think we should be in for a nice run from the announcement/Q1 report through the rest of the year, especially if oil prices hold in a range above $85, which seems probable. Lots of great options in this sector and it was a toss up between Spartan and Cardinal on ...more

Getting rewarded today!   I may move more money back in if the usual afternoon selloff occurs. GLTA

????? Chasing rabbits ... you never know when one of them is going to bolt.  Given the choice, I would be in Cardinal for this quarterly earning period period for sure. But I have both, so all bases covered ;)

I have both too as well as others.  I trade a position around a core of holdings but I never sell out of one completely.  I've gained some nice percentage points that way.  Volume is key.

Did flip some at the end of the day, only because BTE has had such a strong run and will probably cool off before next week.  CJ just starting its run going into financials.  They should blow the ceiling off.  Big money came around today.

so you went from selling cj to buying bte on Thursday to today selling bte because it ran to buying cj?

That's why he has "lemming" in his name lol!
Comment by TheWokeLemming on Apr 19, 2022 4:22pm
If you really must know .... sold CJ at 7.18 to buy BTE 5.85   Sold BTE 6.73 to buy CJ 7.68 Sold more BTE this afternoon at 6.69 to buy more CJ at 7.47.   I like laughing at know it alls like Masfartona.  I suppose I could have done nothing like he did and made a whole 3.5% on CJ by this point.  He is so smart!  My core position in both doesn't get touched.

Great move BTE chart is almost done for a few months CJ is just starting , cheers

Hold both if you can mate. I think Bte may run higher up to the quarter release if oil cooperates.  As for CJ, it's finally moving back up but has lagged the others the last month.  I think that would be normal since it had a monster run just prior. ALSO I would recommend you look at OBE if you get a chance.
