Is CJ a takeout?

With WCP beginning M&A activity, which Canadian companies would be targeted to get bought?   With debt almost gone, a low P/E ratio, unhedged production and so few shares CJ seems to me to be a prime candidate.   Thoughts?

I very much believe that we are a target. There's a lot to say about Mr. Edwards recently increasing his common share count.  The most important thing to consider is what's our price ? We are making money like Pablo Escobar did, only legally, I think ? All things are going right, management is invested, oil prices are spectacular and so what would we benefit by folding for a 20 ...more

Agree, definitely in someone's sights now....I would think at about the previoused mentioned $15 range...........$20 Q4

Good conversation to speculate on. In my opinion I do believe that CJ would definitley be an attractive aquisition, I am not sure by who. Companies close to their core areas of operation would make sense obviously.  At this time they only have a small position in the Clearwater area, I might speculate without any great anaylysis that CPG,BTE and possibly VET could take a look CJ as a good ...more

The price metrics on take outs are starting to reflect the a little better pricing. WCP paid cash and a decent PPFB and paid cash...... Increased their divi as wel,l man there is a ton of cash sloshing around the sector

One has to think that it's pretty enticing to buy more barrels with all that FCF.   The major players might begin a feeding frenzy.
