Shipping Coal

If Cline had planned on shipping 50,000 tonnes fo coal prior to the quarter end, would they not have to ship a train load a week for the month of May?

Question: How long are unit coal trains? Answer: This depends on the route and is generally limited by grades and siding lengths. On the Colorado Joint Line and BNSF's Brush Subdivision, coal trains can be up to 130 cars in length. For the UP lines in Colorado, typical train lengths are between 100 and 110 cars on the Moffat Route and 115 to120 cars on other routes.

Eigen,   I am not disagreeing with anything that you say. I am just pointing out that they soon need to start to ship some more coal to Corpus Christie. Even with just 4 continuous miners running, they should be producing 100,000 tonnes of coal every month. I can't believe that they have enough room at the New Elk mine to keep storing coal without having to ship more to the Port. I would ...more
