Wonder why some energy names down today with analysts saying oil heading to 100 bucks in 2022, and cash flow is brimming? what gives??

I think a lot of funds are closing down their positions today and tomorrow so they can "book" the profits for the year (which are substantial if you bought in early in 2021) thereby looking good for their clients. Tax loss season tends to be a time when you realize both losses and profits.
