The investment objective of the Fund is to replicate, to the extent possible, the performance of the S&P Global Water Index (the Index), net of expenses. To achieve its investment objective the Fund uses an indexing strategy. Under this strategy, the Fund seeks to replicate the performance of the Index, net of expenses, by employing, directly or indirectly, through investment in one or more iShares ETFs and/or through the use of derivatives, a replicating strategy or sampling strategy. A replicating strategy is an investment strategy intended to replicate the performance of the Index by investing, directly or indirectly, primarily in a portfolio of index securities in substantially the same proportions as they are represented in the Index.

RE:RE:the new oil

RE:RE:the new oilHello Vic.... good points. Markets will move sideways for the month of August but look out for Sept/Oct....could get ugly. Water will be huge. I heard Jeff Rubin on CBC radio last week (former Chief Economist for CIBC) talking about his new book which deals, in part, with water. Canada has 20% of the world's fresh water - second only to Finland. Unfortunately, most of our water flows northward to the NWT and Hudson Bay. 20 to 30 years from now it will be like oil or gold....$1+ a litre! He says the Yanks are interested in our water and will "approve any fresh water pipeline" and "help redirect fresh water flows south" - Yank opportunists :-( I live at the hub of the Great Lakes - northern Ontario and we had more water than we knew what to do with. But surprise, surprise, lake Michigan ( the only GT. Lake under full Yank control ) is being syphoned off at Traverse City Michigan and piped to the mid-west.....again...Yank opportunists:-( The Germans are buying "water lots" in Northern Ontario and claiming all the water. They know what's up! Get a water purifier and drill a well in your own back yard......water rationing is 30 years out but it doesn't hurt to prepare now. So our water ETF will do well and individual water stocks to. Small cap health care stocks are the rage for the next 4 weeks......consider CHR and MPH. All the best... Billy
