Market Call

Excellent recap from Bruce Campbell on BNN. Very strong, loves the story, going higher, a big deal on the way, prefers CXR to VRX due to better growth prospects.

To has2bshasta, your opinion, though not fully shared by me, may well explain why in the intermediate term CXR is dead money. They need a long time to digest Covis for a company of CXR's size and in order to cut more deals like this I bet they will need to raise financing which may impact their share price negatively for a while. Longer term, say a year, I still hold on to see it grows. Btw ...more

VRX aquiring J&J ? Lol.  That's just crazy talk. Besides regulators would never allow such an American icon to be sold abroad.  As far as growth performance ...since CXR's IPO, - CXR has outperformed VRX consistently and I expect that to continue.

To has2bshasta, so far time has prove you right on VRX and CXR. VXR is now a over $300 stock from $240 and CXR is going nowhere except drifting away from $87 less than two weeks ago. Pumpers in this BB hate my message but fact is fact. I don't think CXR will perform until after the summer and may extend to the Fall. By the way I own VRX too.  Happy investing.

haha, yeah, "time". what, 3 months?  I dont think anyone who has held cxr for any period of time is complaining. however if you are going to cherry pick vrx crossing over $240 as the starting point, lets look at the numbers. feb 23, vrx crossed over $240 and is now $300. a gain of 25%. very nice from an amazing company. feb 23, cxr closed at $64 and is now $81.70. a gain of 27.6% ...more

Touché, Themangokld. Good analysis.   Both companies are remarkable and deserve admiration. The management is excellent and Mark Thompson pedigree is from Biovail ex VRX. The point is that Thompson has learned from mistakes Made in the past.   Just to name a couple:    Thompson refuses to buy pharmaceuticals by getting into a bidding war. This is where you ...more

Sorry but I never said Mark Thompson had anything to do with VRX. I said he came from Biovail which is ex VRX and learned from past mistakes.
