Takeover talks

Is it possible that MT is quiet through this unjustified drop in the stock price due to takeover talks. At some point it makes sense to sell this company rather than continuously deal with the big swings mostly to the downside due to macro factors and not company specific factors. I have a seven figure position in this company and strongly believe that it's their only way out as Vrx soured the very model that Cxr follows.

Welcome to SH... member since today. Selling is not in the cards and CXR does not follow the same model as VRX. Seven figure investment? I would think you would know that.

What Roller failed to mention ( 5 ) of the figures are right of the decimal point  Hit my ignore list stright away

Cute, but I would like to hear an educated critic to my point.

Thanks sunshine7. The models are similar lets just hope that the accounting practices are not.  That's the wild card here pushing lots of smart money out of Cxr. I would like to hear from you why the sale of Cxr is not a strong possibility under the circumstances.

No. The market segment is similar but that is where it ends. CXR has built a global platform through which it acquires products. The AMCo acquisition was a transformational change giving CXR that global platform onto which products will be added with little added operational cost and reducing geopolitical risk having 60% of its sales outside the US. AMCo is intact. VRX acquired companies, stripped ...more

Sunshine7:  the shorts in this stock will suffer the same fate of the shorts in the Canadian banks the last 3 years.  The problem is that this fire keeps getting fueled by issues such as the changing political landscape, Vrx, Ibb, and at one point even the oil price affected it.  I think good results on Wednesday will not catapult the price enough nor will it change the general ...more

Roller007.  Whle I think that the anser Sunshine supplied is excellent I want to chime in.  I think that the sale of CXR is not a strong possibility under the circumstances because assertaining the value of the Concordia that is commensurate with any kind of reality would be an arduous task for anyone at this point.  Just my opinion of course.   [ quote=Roller007]Thanks ...more

DEATHPOOL: Are you saying that a company may not want to buy more debt than equity? You don't say.
Comment by Roller007 on Mar 20, 2016 12:32am
Deathpool: that's why the sale price will have to be a low one. I'm guessing in the 70 Canadian range which is a far cry from where it's at now.  Many investors dropped their average price to below that figure and would approve the sale in my opinion.

Are you trying to bait me here with this "Takeover Talks" thread?  The idea of a buyout at $70 / share at this time not only strikes an aporetic chord with me, it is outright laughable.  Now I recognize that I am fairly naive and gullible, and I may even be convinced that aliens control our share price (LOL), but I do not believe that there is a takeover happening now.   ...more
