WHY

Why do we have to suffer with this. As a technical analyst, this stock looked good when it was
$85, NOT NOW.
It looks terrible now.  Remember technicals favour the up stocks and dislike the down stocks.

Well for 6 or 7 months, this is a DOWN stock.

Look at the other stocks which reported this week.
I have BYD.UN, reported yesterday and up ove 10%.
Look at NFI, reported today and up almost 5%.

TA is simple UP is good and DOWN is bad.
You don't need stories here.
Don't need " uh, it is the SHORTS doing this to us"
Don't need "uh shaking out the week hands who were looking for a pop today".

I think most of us should re arrange our portfolios with this lesson we learned today.
I am not say, sell everything. What I am saying is be diversified and keep some, but not
all CXR until it goes past $40 again.
Then you can buy. Yes you are buying at a higher price, but it may be safer that way.

Why would anyone buy a stock that according to you the ceo just sold his position for a loss? What your saying makes perfect sense btw. Buy when it's higher and sell when it's lower lol.

You didn't understand a thing a said.  "BUY uptrending stocks and SELL 52 week low stocks" CEO didnt sell, I was only joking.

What a ridiculous and asinine thing to say. I bought FM when it was at $2.77 just a few weeks ago and rode it to $7 something (20000 shares). Yet it had been declining for over a year. By your argument all the people who made a ton of money on the miners and oil producers over the last few weeks should have stayed away because of the technical - because they had all been declining. Look at this ...more

Moral of the story, buy uptrending stocks

what frustrates me more are all the analysts parroting the growth by acquisition model is over and look a the two stocks you mention FDFD. those are both poster kids for the same strategy - this health sector is in the dog house and will continue for a bit - rangebound. it really is a stock where i should just stop watching and  come back and look at things in the fall. - unlikely to do ...more

RIGHT ON AGAIN Puma. Totally agree with everything again. It is the healt sector growth by acquisition that is in the doghouse. I think this could stay here for a LONG TIME. If you keep your money in this, will it be better off than buying NFI which is on a breakout and almost the same price. Will CXR outperform other stocks in the next 6 months? I don't think so beasue the chart is broken.

Technical analysis does not recognize enterprise valuation, nor does it recognize macro factors. When the TA people appear on BNN, a small few of them are worth listening to (without exception, these are the ones who blend TA and FA) ... the rest I mostly laugh at, and think "Your fund will **NEVER** see a dime of my bonny wee fortune." .

I agree, that is why I use both. BUT the best thing to do is the following. BUY a stock that is great Fundamentally and great Technically. CXR is only good fundamentally so it wont go up. THe stocks which do go up have both in common, like BYD.UN and NFI.

CXR was technically broken the last time it ran to $57, no? Fundamentally it is in a stronger place than then. Chart broken until it isn't... my call is that this will be seen as the last historical low for CXR.
Comment by cashflow98 on Mar 24, 2016 1:33pm
Exactly what I was thinking, Hillary tweet broke the chart so why did we run back up to $58 ?? I think after Q2 we will be at $72 as I have said previously. Feel free to sell at a loss and dip into other names but all depends on your time horizon and objectives. I think you are over-reacting to a move on a high beta name. We have moved $6 UP in 3 hrs in the past and you were thrilled...keep your ...more
