Short thesis

So basically, everybody is missing the obvious fact that CXR is a giant scam, including renowned funds who invested hundreds of millions combined and are about to lose their money. KKR also made a huge blunder when they increased their stake by 425% in the first quarter. Thankfully we have the shorts who know more than all of us investors in CXR to tell us how bad a company it is and how it will go bankrupt sooner than later.

I knew you'd say that Lattice. I just want to point out that we don't know when the shorts increased ( only by 400,000) their interest in the second half of May. If I were short CXR, seeing that the price was actually going up in the last week of May, I'd want to cover ( especially with the possibility of a TO materializing ). Look at the chart on June 2. The first article ...more

The thing with CXR (and VRX) is that's it's not a very dangerous short. It's not as if you were shorting a penny stock or biochemical R&D company that could jump 1000% in one day. I personally believe the odds of CXR reaching $45-$60 in the next 12 months are very high, but for shorts that started shorting above $40 it's not a major loss. So I agree that you need to be brave ...more

Haha, so the SP had 20% move intra-day and it is not a dangerous short. Which world are you from, Willy? Please go back there, rather than encouraging innocent traders to short here at recent lows.

I'm from the world where a stock that drops 20% in two minutes should be called a dangerous long, not short. By the way I'm not encourading anyone to short, I'm just saying it's not the most risky short. I'm long this stock because I believe the odds are in my favour, but I must admit I'm gambling short term right now, it's a tough stock to hold. Tomorrow is Friday ...more

well, if someone bought >40 for BO hope and a quick trade, we dont call them long in the general sense.  I don't hope for rumor at this point, but an actual announcement confirming BO. So long is the absolute wya to go. Again, if you have short position, please cover it.

LETTUCE...The management is doing their job....and you fail to remember that MT did not chase after the chicken farmer.... but the other way around....when analysts with no credibility put out false information , then they have to be called out.... they don't have to account for anything they say.The chicken farmer will, in time face reality , and he will not only be waiting on MT with a dress ...more

Mgmt is aware of this short pile. Perhaps this is one of the reasons they wanna sell this out as otherwise SP will be depressed in the forseeable future, thus creating further pressure on mgmt from investors. Let's see.

Agreed, I am putting in the money I made from MEG energy here. The leverage of CXR is nothing compared to what we see in some of the energy names. In addition, the cash flow is much better. Just like MEG, at some point, there would be almost no meat left on the bone that is laying on the rail road. And the freight train is approaching.
