Distribution miss?

Today's hot CPI# is going to pressure all indices. The June and now July US cuts look dead now. With DF already on the cusp, the chance of a distributiion miss is up.

The numbers for the US didn't look good but for Canada they look promising for a rate cut. Am I wrong? I assume that will help Df?

Yes, but I'm referring to the current month. Rate cut in Canada likely in June but in the meantime we have to absorb the US data which negatively affects all indices for now.

SO if fuel prices keep rising, what does that do to inflation? For sure people ar paying more at the pumps, and since diesel is used for delivering nearly everything in a huge country... what does that do to consumer prices? Turdeau's carbon tax is not helping... June rate cut from BOC  is NOT written in stone. And if the BOC does cut, how many move their money out of Canada to a country ...more
