RE:Is That $10 I See Over The Horizon?Who's "we" skippy?

What news do you think is driving the trade right now lol?

Virtu (algo shop) is shorting hard today.  Looks like the NCIB (almost certainly run by CIBC) is dead rest of week because of a block trade (TSX NCIB rules) that took the steam out of yesterday's run up.  This sets up great for shorting today and spectacularly for longs to catch the cover by Friday pm.  The question is how hard the shorts want to press -- reverse now for profits, keep shorting, wait and see?  Not sure they should have the bag to be short Monday at open given fundamentals and risk of good news surprise.

IMHO, Virtu client has overplayed its hand.  Real buyers are gonna come in this afternoon and shorts are gonna panic buy.  Anyway, I'm an investor, not a short-term trader, so vol is a buying opportunity.

You should buy (or short, whatever).  It's fun!
