Ex div. date
Indeed, the press release is confusing.
On my broker web site, the ex div. date is Feb. 2

Your broker is correct. Stock will cary the dividend until Feb. 1. If you sell before then you will not get the dividend.

So I can continue to buy and receive the dividend until 2 days before the record date of Feb 1 ?

Thank you for that clarification. So, if the share price continues to rise towards fair value, non Canadian holders can wait a while before they sell and perhaps get part of the dividend when to the extent that the share price rises above $30.

It was a confusing statement, although quite clear right now. Yet, judging by the selling today, there are still some out there who have taken the original and conventional statement of record date literally. Its a could time to buy more tho..
