Trades Ex Dividend Tommorow Feb 2

Buying today still qualifies for divy..

Dorel's Class B shares and Class A shares will commence trading on an ex dividend basis on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, as of which date purchasers of the shares will no longer have an attaching entitlement to payment of the special dividend. The due bill redemption date will be Feb. 3, 2022.

I sold at the highs. Would rather get taxed on the captial gains then the dividend. I also think there could be a puke post dividend -- right? Feels like the thinking will be "what's the next catalyst"...especially with Q4 (and likely) Q1 being meh quarters (at best). I seriously doubt it gets below $8 as the $15.25 dividend on the currnt price about $11. I can see it below $10 but not below $8. Good chance the company begins it's buyback should it fall back.

I will be picking away at it. It's a second half story...and those will see more pressure if markets soften again. Great long term buy though. I don't think the company sells its best ...more

Would you care to tell the forum how many shares you picked up <$8 or <$9 or <$10?? How many <$11?? The board is dying to know.

lol. Relax. I don't have a crystal ball. I was hoping for cheaper shares. That didn't materialize. I am carefully buying up. Still hoping/thinking it goes lower before it goes higher.  Play the game...

And....yes I bought today.  Nice to see a lot of volume go through.  Not sure if it had to do with dividend/ex dividend repositioning...but feels like there are eyeballs on this story now.
