Target C$48

Target raised to C$48.00/share from 47.50 C$ by Stifel Nicolaus (www.baystreet.ca).

I think that is a very realistic target.   I think the pivot is continuing. US stocks down big again today.  Looks like a trend.  Down 5% in Sept.  I think they figure 10% down means bear.   Gold up, or stable even with the big drop in stocks today.  Ditto EDV.   Maybe a rotation out of general stocks into goldstocks, a tiny % will do it, and $48 ...more

Ya had to jinx us on the general markets, crypto's, and the PoG didn't ya?  lol MM PS I agree with you and your general theses, but I dare not make any ST predictions ... especially not on Crypto's.

Well sorry for the jinxing!   I do wish I had the power to make prices go up or down.  Alas , try as I might they just wont give me it. But anyway, the bounce in the US stock indexes was totally expected and predicted.  Time will tell, and other powers will determine, but a continuing down trend seems likely. Cryptos?  I guess they matter?  Not to me and to 99.9% of ...more

Lately the pattern seems to be to monkey hammer Gold in the morning and let it drift upwards by the afternoon. I don't know how to predict the short term, nor the medium term. Nor do I know when to sell.  But I'm battiing slightly more than 50/50 on predicting long term trends. At the risk blowing my slightly above average LT track record, and getting into a heated off topic ...more

Maybe I am a little uninformed , MM, but I don't see how Crypto's will ever be of any importance to me.  My drug dealing and tax avoidance days are behind me; back then it was all done with hundred dollar bills (it was a shame when they cancelled the thousand dollar bill - they were pretty).  And my bank handles my not complicated banking very nicely, and these days almost ...more

I'm not sure of your age Ronnie, but I surmize that based on your drug dealing days being behind you,  it probably never will be important to you. I don't pretend to be an expert, but using banks as intermediaries on virtually everything tends to slow everything down on the billions of transactions that are happening every second.  Impatient types that don't like fees, the ...more

Let me discuss, all in good fun, some of your statements MM.  Now I know this is suppose to be about EDV, tho I am not sure who made that rule; but the problem is what's to discuss?  Someday there might be some news about what they will build next, and the numbers for sure will be interesting, but we pretty much know them already.   And there aren't any possible ...more

I'll be brief so as not to bore the EDV enthusiasts. "Now we can all agree that governments do a pretty bad job generally of everything.  So that leaves what?  Corporations, whose only purpose is profit; individuals like Gates, Bezos, Zuckerberg,  and all the other rich that we don't even know who they are,  who have amassed so much wealth that they are kind of in ...more
