I would be interested in knowing what caused the stock price to drop this morning. Since EQI is below $10 it makes me wonder if it's headed back to the $8 range. There must be an explanation of the price drop somewhere.

look at who the CEO is and what he did to Exceed mortgage corp that explains everything.

Dealmaker if Michael Jones is so bad I'm surprised that Griggs and the Smoothwater gang would have brought him on board even if he is only the interim CEO. Additionally since his appointment was announced on Feb 26/14 the downdraft in the stock price would seem to be a delayed reaction to the event.

Nick was equity. That sums it up.

Deal maker have you been following the Smoothwater investment in GDC? I may have misjudged Smoothwater in my earlier opinion based on the current price action of GDC. If Smoothwater can pull off the same price increase with EQI everyone should be happy.

Until the CEO is removed the price will go down further. Its a very sad situation. I too was hoping this would be the next hometrust. Do not underestimate the short term damage an interim CEO can make.

I'm more concerned that the housing market will turn soft and result in less mortgage lending than I am in the CEO of this company. Smoothwater is the largest shareholder and I don't think they are going to stand by and let the CEO jeopardize the millions they have invested. I'm a buyer anywhere below $10 a share.

when does the first quarter with these guys come out. Take a look at that before doing anything.

Last year the results came out in mid May so I assume this year will be sometime between now and the annual meeting on May 28th, but I won't make any bets based on one quarter's results as I don't think Smoothwater is in this to make just a couple of dollars per share. I bought more this morning and will continue to buy as long as sellers are prepared to sell under $10.
