In its release ePropelled refers to its portfolio of patents including U.S. 7,382,103, which was filed in 2004 and which is anticipated to expire in two years. The company appears to be challenging an existing patent which Exro has in the U.S. This is a key distinction, as Exro's patent has already been examined and issued.
