Canaccord Genuity analyst raises target price ...

Canaccord Genuity analyst Katie Lachapelle raised the price target on Fission Uranium (FCU:CN) (OTC: FCUUF) to Cdn$0.80 (from Cdn$0.70) while maintaining a Spec. Buy rating.

.80 cent target......bahahahahha!  Still below the 5 year high AND the CGN subscription price.  JMO
Comment by GovernanceQP on May 18, 2021 7:44pm
CGN paid 85 cents which is sort of funny with respect to this 80 cents target and the CGN buy was over 5 years ago. Not good going for FCU.
Comment by mlcb2525 on May 19, 2021 10:49am
Well they could have played it safe and invested in CCO 10 years ago at $25.44. However, even the bell weather Canadian Uranium stock has performed poorly as the price right now is $23.41. I guess timing is everything..........

What's interesting is that after months of DD, CGN chose fission over everyone else. They appreciated the high grade, shallow deposit, unlike others, that are way too deep to mine.

Again gizard16 the enormity of Arrow hadn't been discovered yet. Cgn has regreted their decision ever since
Comment by Uraniuman308 on May 19, 2021 2:37pm
So why hasn't CGN participated in any further funding and/or maintained their percentage ownership of FCU?  Could it be because they like the "project" as Ross put it, but don't like the company?  And why would that be, lol!  Perhaps CGN's comment that FCU needs to work toward improving their image provides some insight for new investors.  In my opinion ...more

@ Uranium308 - Hey Homer.  Why don't you do the math and calculate the amount of money that FCU could have raised from CGN without triggering a take-over bid. Here is the regulation in case you were not aware.  "Canadian takeover rules are triggered when an acquiror crosses a brightline 20% threshold ownership of a class of shares in a target company." And while you' ...more

Greenday, what ownership threshold is CGN at now?  Is it 20%?  If not, why?  On a side note, a takeover would be a blessing but unfortunately CGN as a state owned Chinese company is not allowed to do so.  Based on the .80 cent target the risk of holding this stock is greater than the potential reward.  Bring on a takeover, or clean house and bring someone on that is ...more

@ Uranium308 - Hey Homer.  Are you saying you were ignorant that CGN currently has a 15.2% stake in FCU? So if FCU had raised the $30M from CGN instead of from the Eight Capital and Sprott, then CGN would have breached the 19.9% regulatory take-over threshold and minor shareholders currently don't want a take-over.   BTW, why did Sprott take UPC away from Denison's ...more

Greenday I think you are displaying your lack of ever backing a company which is doing fantastic things because when a company raises money by issuing shares it can issue those shares at a premium. There is no reason why CGN had to buy shares at a discount in the first place and / or into the future and so your argument about CGN in one respect is misguided. gizard16 when CGN acquired shares in ...more

@ GovernanceQP - Hey Turner.  NXE didn't issue shares at a premium to market.  Why not?
Comment by GovernanceQP on May 19, 2021 7:19pm
I guess one reason is because the NXE share price has been performing nicely for a considerable period of time since NXE first listed and I am very much looking forward to what NXE can achieve from this point on.
Comment by Greenday on May 19, 2021 8:24pm
@ GovernanceQP - Hey Turner.  Really??  You think that the reason NXE didn't issue shares at a premium to the market is because to use your words it has "been performing nicely....."  Most investors imo would decline paying a premium for NXE shares when they could buy them at the market price without paying a premium.  No wonder you're living like a pauper in ...more

I am actually living like a pauper in South East Asia which works for me because I am an extreme minimalist and I love the tropical beach life and with regard to your buying shares idea how in the world is any company or institution etc going to buy a large amount of shares on-market in any relatively small company without affecting the share price?
Comment by Greenday on May 20, 2021 11:57am
@ GovernanceQP - Hey Turner.  So why didn't NXE do a private placement with Li Ka-shing at a premium to the market price instead of doing a deal with BMO and Canaccord at a discount to the market?  Except for the different parties involved, that's what you are saying that FCU should have done.
Comment by GovernanceQP on May 21, 2021 11:39pm
I am not saying that at all Greenday and you are are starting sound a little like Cathy Newman. On a sligthly different note I read on an online forum that there was 10 times the demand for what was raised by NXE - do the numbers, NXE is now big time if there is truth to what has been written. {^youtubevideo|(width)425|(height)264|(rel)False|(url)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A99G6O721gA|(fs ...more

You seem to forget that CGN was two board members at fission. From what I have heard, they are ecstatic with fission's progress and the enormity of their ability to increase the resource. Fission has a great deal of acreage yet to be explored, in a very favorable part of the basin. the upside is boundless.
Comment by Uraniuman308 on May 20, 2021 1:51pm
FCU is STUCK at .62 cents, unlike DML & NXE has FAILED to take out its 5 year high, everyone says FCU is undervalued yet the latest target is .80 cents, still off the 5 year high and below the CGN subscription price, WHY?
Comment by Uraniuman308 on May 20, 2021 1:53pm
WHY?  Myself and a couple others here could provide several reasons, but IMHO all roads lead back to management.  JMO
Comment by mlcb2525 on May 20, 2021 2:43pm
This is probably the 20th time you have stated this. Do you remember? Are you going senile? why don't you reduce the quantity of you comments and increase the quality?
Comment by Uraniuman308 on May 20, 2021 3:17pm
and I will continue to say it as long as people keep saying we are undervalued without a reasonable explanation as to why.  JMO
Comment by gizard16 on May 21, 2021 11:42am
It just shows us all that uranium308 is a f#cking id!ot. A shareholder? NOT!!! The only reason they are here, is to bash bash bash anything and everything to do with Fission. Someone pays them to be here.

So, CCO is still below what it was 10 years ago................
