I start buying at 3.99
Comment by alkhor on Jun 08, 2022 1:23pm
Last time 2 years ago I missed the low but bought in at $3.75. Made a good double on that. This time there is no pandemic panic selling so I doubt it will get much below $4.50. Still, at that price worth gambleing a bob or two.

won,t drop under 4.80 so easily unless markets drops 5-10% as this always trades on big premium
Comment by mouserman on Jun 08, 2022 3:07pm
Buying  today at $4.80, would be buying at a premium..... there is nothing positive happening for FFN today. Or FTN for that matter. Big difference is FTN has some breathing room above the threshhold and is actually going to be paying a decent yield for months to come, EVEN with another 5 to 10% down....
Comment by novascotian2014 on Jun 09, 2022 10:07am
I Change that to $4.50 and BELOW ..

Jan 2021 lows wtf this Mangement did for this ????
Comment by EdPaquette on Jun 09, 2022 12:29pm
This is the nature of a mature split.   When a split is born it has a unit nav of $25.  The nav deteriorates because dividends are too high, then it stops paying  to commons which gives unit nav a chance to catch up and pay again.  Rinse and repeat.   quote=RusticHit]Jan 2021 lows wtf this Mangement did for this ????[/quote]

The premature divi suspension brought out the shorters, this will turn around one day until then its a buying op either to lower your acb or to start a position that one day will pay you a very nice divi, could be awhile but then there is the capital appreciation  side too.  A win win
Comment by Nakate on Jun 09, 2022 12:45pm
Also now the shorts don't have to pay the divi an added bonus except that nav and share price are not the same so if the nav shoots up aroung the declaration day and a divi is declared.
Comment by flamingogold on Jun 09, 2022 3:49pm
It will pay out again, but I think I can get some lower on a panic day. I don't mind waiting to buy. My best buys have come with patience.
Comment by RusticHit on Jun 10, 2022 11:29am
40% down from Jan. Highs  where will be Bottom ??? too much loss if some one bought in 7,,,ss  these Funds are hard on both ways Up and down
Comment by flamingogold on Jun 10, 2022 12:16pm
No one can predict bottom, but low $4 is a good place to start a position. If I don't get it that's fine, I already own the prefs so I am in no rush to double up on the commons above the $5 threshold.

Going  to Nav wow
Comment by flamingogold on Jun 10, 2022 1:55pm
When the market's decided they won't pay for awhile, the NAV is all they are worth. We got a flush today but I think we can hit a little lower sometime over the summer.
