Two Merchants

From the last MD & A report (Nov 28, 2011):

The Company derives its revenue from several sources. However, the Company relies on a relationship with one party, Aeroplan Canada Inc., to derive the third party loyalty currency which accounts for 61% of the Company’s gross revenues during the quarter ended September 30, 2011 (2010 – 69% of gross revenues). Of the merchants who issue the third party currency, 2 merchants accounted for 43% of the Company’s gross revenues respectively (2010 – 42% of gross revenues

2 merchants accounted for 43% of Futura's gross revenue. I don't know how it will work with car dealers but they do have good drawing power. Just a handful of dealership locations could match the 2 merchants in issuing Aeroplan miles. This is looking good.

We are all waiting for the financial impact of the dealerships. 4th quarter results will give us the first glimpse.

Of this 73% was due to the Aeroplan program. The report goes further to say that 2 merchants were responsible for 43% of total sales in Q3.   I'm extrapolating it backwards over 9 months (ending Sept 30, 2011. 43% of $1 ...more

Active Green and Ross is a success story. Over 70 locations. This tire and auto company issues both Aeroplan and Futura Rewards :https://www.activegreenross.com/earn-aeroplan-miles-or-futura-rewards Using the company as a good case study example, would encourage others to join a loyalty program. Customer service also figures into the success equation. ------------------------- For my research on ...more

Joey -- here is what i know...they have CEO CFO COO 2-3 people on sales staff 1/2 people on tech So I think there are 6-8 full time employees. But that is not really relevant...and by the way, as far as i can tell the CEO should really be called head of sales and not CEO...a company this size does not really need a CEO, and Mark has been doing an incredible job from what i can tell being a sales ...more

That is good news....not to many people on board....if  it can take off in the USA,  we will be on a very nice launching pad for the future !   Thanks.
