Onwards and Upwards

There are 41 production wells. 16 injection and 25 recovery wells arranged in a 5 spot pattern. Beyond that there are further point of compliance wells to ensure hydraulic control and compliance with the APP/UIC. Copper production is a function of flow rate x PLS grade (pregnant leach solution). The 5 spot pattern means acid solution flows from an injection well to numerous recovery wells leaching the copper which is found on the surfaces of the rock fractures. Individual wells will have different flow rates (some high, some low) but what matters is the overall wellfield flowrate and PLS grade. The copper mineral is mainly chysocolla which leaches well. Have a look at the Florence website for announcements and timings for acid break through and leach curves to ramp up to full production in the feasibility. It takes a while but what a great time to be ramping up production into a rising copper price. The project capex was mainly funded by the triple flag stream so there is not a rigid senior secured debt instrument hanging round the neck of management. Covid has disrupted many copper mines. Relax and give the process some more time.

They are NOT ramping up produtction they have problems.  The geology is different from Florence. Why don't you call them and ask what the current run rate is, why half the wells aren't producing, what the specific problems are, how they intend to fix them etc and then get back to everyone. It is NOT a simple matter of time. There are specific issues preventing the field from ...more

The main copper mineral at both Florence and Gunnison is chysocolla. There is no difference in the copper mineralogy. Copper is found on surface fractures in both deposits. Both deposits are highly fractured. Gunnison is classified as a skarn (higher acid) and Florence a porphyry. The hydrology at Gunnison is a single aquifer (simple) but Florence has different aquifers. The geometallurgy of both ...more

You will not find CO2 bubbles in the Florence geology..you are wrong...the same geologic process formed both but the geologic chemistry is different.

Metal.........Big step up in share price next week to cherish! Ramp-up is ongoing and  a gradual process. There are no issues of concern, and they certainly wouldn't discuss details with you 'Metal'. It's absolutely impossible to know insider info, it just doesn't happen. And the copper price rise today was not a spike, this is the new normal. Have a good sleep, big re ...more

You have no idea what you're babbling....nothing but blind hope and faith. I know for certain that there are issues.

Thank you metalhead! You convinced me!  I sold all my Excelsior and bought Dogecoin and Gamestop.
Comment by metalhead666 on Feb 19, 2021 8:12pm
Wouldn't surprise me at all if you did.  Why don't you call the company and ask how many plates are coming off the line now....tell us the answer on Monday or Tuesday...don't forget to ask why half the wells aren't working...make sure you get specific technical replies too ok?

Perhaps we could start a pool guessing at what rising share price Metalhead ceases posting his wisdom? Look up his history of bashing and see just how correct he hasn't been.

The SX-EW is conventional. The copper on the cathodes grows through electrolysis and then periodically the copper cathodes (sheets) are harvested, typically every 30 days. Excelsior announced the first harvest on 21 Dec and the first sale on 28 Jan. It makes sense they had a second harvest in late Jan which was combined with the first harvest in Dec and was sold. The combined harvest was 90,000lbs ...more

Thanks for some detail here. I I had to look up gangue and ameliorate and I'm a better man for it now. Some might think I'm a type of gangue but in not a rock like way. Can you go into more detail as to how in time the process will ameliorate.  TIA
Comment by metalhead666 on Feb 20, 2021 7:17am
"This is temporary and with time will ameliorate."  You do not know this "What matters is the wellfield flowrate and PLS grade, not whether an individual well is above or below expectations." Half the wellfield is not functioning at all. It matters. Until you can explain why and show that it has a remedy this project is not going to produce to plan.  The FACT that ...more

In a conventional copper heap leach project, the ore is mined and crushed.   The crushing exposes both the copper mineral and the gangue.   The acid consumption is a function of the gangue and crush size etc. The economics of a traditional copper heap leach mine are heavily influenced by strip ratio, copper grade, acid consumption and scale of operation. This is why the cut-off ...more

The company TOLD ME that half the wells are NOT working...some because of CO2 blockages and the others they refused to explain why they were NOT working....So all you copy and paste is moot if half the wells don't work at all
Comment by Buckfinder on Feb 21, 2021 2:46am
And JJ (member of the company) TOLD ME (I know him for 7 years now) that they will reach ramp up of 25m at the end of the year.  The big question is whom to believe: A) crux (report full of nonsene and aimed to bring down the stock price) and metalhead B) Greenstone, Triple Flag, Eric Coffin and Robert Friedland and the whole technical team of Excelsior I bet on B. Tommorrow is the last ...more

Charts do not predict anything. All t/a nonsense is pure voodoo for the gullible and credulous.  Go ask Triple Flag why half the wells are not working....or your friend JJ who you've known for 7 years...don't rely on me...go ask them all yourself to explain exactly why half the wells are NOT working.   Then we don't have to argue. You'll know that what I've ...more

Metal i am just curious  why would they tell you or me ? We are not in the operational team. We can't solve the problem or should be privy to any info. I just don't think they will share any info regardless if they have issues or not and why. Would Walmart tell you or me why they are not selling enough bras?  also, what is in it for you if you have no vested interest in ...more

I love a good story whether I'm currently invested in it or not. I wanted this company to succeed, liked the whole green thing and wanted to make bank on my investment. I did make some money, continued my DD and when the CRUX article broke I wanted to know what was real and what wasn't. That's when I grilled JJ about the actual state of affairs and ran into the roadblock as to why half ...more

Metal  some infos are not meant to be shared positive or negative. that goes to every companies in this world. Private or Public. Until such time an NR is issued. But they won't be shared with a phone call from an investor. Walmart bras was a hypothetical question. I am saying the will never tell you the problem because you called. It will be in an NR. and if there's a problem ...more

No. When I ask and am told that half the wells are not working and then I'm told that half of those is because of CO2 blockages and then I'm NOT told what's wrong with the other non working wells....something is seriously amiss.

Agreed Richie. READ THE 43-101 Technical Report!  It is freely available on Sedar.  Maybe then we will have less nonsense posted here.
