People buying splits, ignoring risks

Just came across analysis from Fools on GDV. Totally misses risks in several key points.  No mention of premium or the leverage in these type of shares !    Simply pretended the split ...more

Nav stable

The fund manager has been done a great job to manage this so-called actively managed pofolio. It's really hard to make no gain in NAV in a bull market.

Premium down, but still high

Premium down 2.06, which is still crazy high.  Maybe a secondary offering in the works since they just did it for sbc.to

Tried to reestablish a short the last couple of weeks but no luck. Getting more and more difficult to short the obvious new issue candidates. Looks like a leak with a sudden move down in an up market ...more

GDV UNIT NAV to Nov 15 =$18.26 according to Brompton

SO the premium is high @ 24.5%, but has come down a LOT in a month. I did see the NAV drop to about $16.85 in OCT.   and   shares were still trading at about $9.50 then.
