RE:HOT responded regarding witholding tax here;I suggest you contact AHIP LP Investor Relations for full clarification based on your individual situation. Citiizenship, Residency, type of account, composition of distribution (and perhaps others that escape me at the moment) are all factors in whether tthe withholding tax is applied.

I don't profess to be an expert, but have held this security at various times in different accounts over the years so have experienced some of the various situations, including corrections of previous years withholding tax applications when classification of income changed.

I currently hold in my TFSA (acknowledging that I will have 15% of the distribution that is not Return of Capital withheld) in anticipation of significant capital gains.
