Preferred Shares are as Risky at the Stock Market

Preferred Shares are as Risky at the Stock MarketI like preferred shares but I don't like the VOL.    Great income but YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT PREFERRED SHARES RETURNS ARE ASEMMETRIC.   While you may get a slightly higher dividend yield and some balance sheet protection (emphasis is some) over comon shares, you also get the downside and sacrifice the income.   So buy Preferred Shares when the market hammers them as they go down as much or even more than stocks do in a bear market rout.  Therefore, right now is not the time to own an ETF preferred share investment - maybe a select few direct preferred shares (such high quality ones with a floor).   They are going to down with is nail biting global stock market correction that is starting RIGHT NOW!!
