Share price stopped dropping when HSE stopped paying

the dividend before......looking back at the charts (2016-17).   

HSE should cut the dividend.

RagingBull Dude the dividend is as good as gone. I think everyone knows that just looking at the numbers.

Suncor just gave an update tonight. They had a lot to say. They did not guarantee the dividend - maybe they never do but that is whats on every investors mind right now.  Demand falling off a cliff like this has not been experienced before has it? Basically doesn't matter how integrated you are, you are !?#$ if there is no demand.

Hey Pablo87, I don't think Suncor cut the dividend.   Husky hasn't cut either.   Speaking of Dividends, was it you that were interested in the Preferred Shares also?    I'm trying to understand them and how they trade.......   can you correct me if my thinking is wrong? This is my understanding: They are cummulative redeemable preferred shares, so basically ...more

Hey, Ragingbull. I'm not sure there's an easy answer to why prefs in general have fallen a cliff. I can only relate my experience - I had some prefs another stock and when I saw a pipeline stock so cheap, I decided to sell them at a loss and put it in that pipeline which turned out to be a good decision. It was at a price where it was paying the same income + it was at less than half its ...more

Ya, don't make sense... anyways, seems to be correcting itself in a BIG way.  Preferreds definitely the place to be.
