Looks like Robert Friedland is setting up his own SPAC. Any number of potential buy out targets. Something to keep an eye on imo.

It's an NYSE listing per the doc and it appeared that they don't need a delay to prepare financials. Could be part of the listenings on other exchanges they have mentioned.  I'm guessing that once setup they can structure a deal to put anything they want into it, or even reverse merge a larger value holding into it.  Maybe one that already has the palladium, gold, copper,

I will be shocked if RF didn't do it for current assets. There is no need for him to have a SPAC without a target in mind already. Plus he did mention earlier in the year to list on a major exchange.

Agree.  i believe this is the entity they will use to spin off the Platreef assets.  They are raising some cash and then once they get the listing can vend the platreef assets into the company along with other similar assets they may acquire in the future that are similar or complimentary in nature.

What might this mean for IVN shareholders?

If they spin out Platreef, that asset will be removed from IVN shares and they will receive  shares of the new company.  Most likely they would roll the shares back given the prospectus price is 10 bucks.  Its a good thing as the market is not properly valuing the Platreef assets in their existing form.  It will also allow Ivanhoe to seperately finance and expand the assets

From page 117 of the filed doc for the NYSE listing  "We are not prohibited from pursuing an initial business combination with a business combination target that is affiliated with our sponsor, officers or directors or completing the business combination through a joint venture or other form of shared ownership with our sponsor, officers or directors. In the event we seek to complete
