Lubumbashi

Lubumbashi is located in the far south, in the former province of Katanga, at 1,300 meters (4,250 feet) of altitude. Here, in winter (June to mid-August), the temperature at night can drop to as low as 0 °C (32 °F). Additionally, the temperature increases in the second half of the dry season, between mid-August and October. Here are the average temperatures.

In Lubumbashi, the winter dry season is very evident (it practically never rains from May to September) and long (it lasts more than six months). Precipitation amounts to 1,200 mm (47 in) per year, with a maximum in summer (December to February), when the rains are abundant and exceed 250 mm (10 in) per month. Hey TOP    Saw you post, so you are not on ignore.  I do have some on ignore.  You do bring value to the board. That being said, apparently you have not worked a construction project let alone worked one in different types of weather.     GLTA

The weather charts on the previous post are not from the site but were pretty close in data to the mine site.  The data shows four months with around 10 inches of rain per month. December through March is wet, and is therefore muddy and sloppy. What am I looking at? Phase two should be built in a shorter time line than phase one as the bugs should have been worked out.  All the questions ...more
