1) Newmont Corp. has offered to buy Australia’s Newcrest Mining Ltd. in a $17 billion deal that would strengthen the US mining powerhouse’s position in copper and gold.
2) Newcrest Mining : at 30 June 2022, Group Measured and Indicated Mineral Resources 2 were estimated to contain approximately 120 million ounces of gold, 25 million tonnes of copper, 100 million ounces of silver and 0.17 million tonnes of molybdenum.
3) Ivanhoe Mines : Platreef’s Indicated Mineral Resources contain an estimated 18.9 million ounces of palladium, 18.7 million ounces of platinum, 3.1 million ounces of gold, and 1.2 million ounces of rhodium (a combined 41.9 million ounces PGMs plus gold), plus 2.4 billion pounds of nickel and 1.2 billion pounds of copper, at a 2.0 g/t 3PE+Au cut-off. Platreef’s Inferred Mineral Resources contain an additional 23.8 million ounces of palladium, 23.2 million ounces of platinum, 4.3 million ounces of gold, and 1.6 million ounces of rhodium (a combined 52.8 million ounces PGMs plus gold), plus 3.4 billion pounds of nickel and 1.78 billion pounds of copper, also at a 2.0 g/t 3PE+Au cut-off
IVN Platreef has similar amount of ore to Newcrest.
IF adding K&K, Western Foreland, and Kipushi.
Waht is the fair market value of IVN at present ?

Thought at some point IVN would spin off Platreef to peel out the value. I want the exposure as it's a monster, but I feel the value gets lost in the giant that is K&K. Perhaps when it comes into production with some cashflow attached.
