Sorry to hear about the non-industrial "suspicious"  death.
KNT has a very good safety record, doubt we ever hear the final cause

shouldn't hurt production much, seems already investigated by KNT and local authorities


Preliminary findings from K92 and the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (Police) have concluded that the death is a non-industrial suspicious incident. K92 is working with the relevant Government authorities under the Criminal Code Act and Mining (Safety) Act to support their investigations

I'm picturing one of the workers taking the company haul truck on a joyride after a night of partying with all the ensuing consequences.

I'm picturing one of the workers having it on with the wife of another worker, and  the husband of the wife taking exception, and doing the exception taking at work.  Possibly a money dispute.  Seems if the constabulatory were much involved it would because of some 'wrong doings' of  a serious nature. Murders, if that is what it was, are always about sex or money ...more

No interest rate hikes so the gold producers like KNT are on the move…nice uptick today after rates announcement by Feds. Glad I did get back in for the next chapter of this outfit. Expecting strong production numbers for the company but not betting on any records, so more of the same. The non- industrial fatality on company land is likely a non-issue& should not have any impact on this stock. ...more
