Iron Ore

So the Iron Ore stock on hand did not go through the Largo assay lab to determine its complete make up,..? that's almost embarrassing (or careless) not to know the quality of 2.5M tonnes sitting in the yard, ready for sale, then the customer tells you what's in it........

and yet, this discussion re: iron ore is missing the forest for the trees.  there is no way that we are down 14% on the back of iron ore miscommunication.  perhaps being honest and open with investors is too hard for them and investors have lost faith .. but, why is the iron ore issue as a catalyst? it doesn't make sense that we lost $100mm of market cap on the back of the iron ore ...more

The SP at any point reflects shareholders expectations forfuture earnings.  I expected to see several millions in profit being reported in Q2 related to sales of iron ore.  Also, expected to see many more millions as a result of additional sales in future quarters. re-read the RBS report from June .. clearly andrew w attributed approx $2/sh to iron ore .. so, this likely explains it .. can they still make .90/1.00 per share for the full year in earnings? i think so .. these f--kr's should have communicated more effectively (again) re: the iron ore and cut this off .. they took a damn good quarter and f--cked it up by not thinking or communicating ...more

Selling a lemon product is not simply a communication / miscommunication problem, certainly not from the standpoint of the customer who bought the lemon product. Selling a lemon product is bad for business. Selling a lemon reflects badly on the seller and the market / investors surely don't like it. Imagine if the battery in our first contract was delivered without extensive testing and turned ...more

In 2013  RBC said the following about iron ore in their report. Eight years later not much has changed. And our first sale of iron ore was done even before determining the saleability of this product? What a joke.   Excerpt from RBC report - Sept 26 2013 “Iron-Ore By-product Is Key, But Quality/Saleability Remains to be Seen. The Maracas mine is expected to produce up to ...more
