Bushveld production halted.

25 October: BMN.L has halted their mining production " due to liquidity issues ."  This leaves Largo as one of the only two primary mining sources of Vanadium 23 worldwide for any of its multiple industrial applications. I would not think that Bushveld had built much of an inventory of V2O5 as it was going about trying to avoid it's liquidity issue, and therefore probably would not be a factor going forward on the supply side of worldwide pricing, and would last until the Bushveld circumstances resolve one way or another.

BMN.L  On Friday, 25 October, average daily volume on London exchange of 3.94 million shares jumped to 17.11 million shares and sp dropped to  0.34 pence/ share.

Chris, you are corrrct - a slow down in production, not a complete shutdown. I was wrong in my reading of the release. However, I do think this is a major issue of lack of liquidity and future warning of dire consequences if funding does not improve or Vanadium price continues in the sub US $5.00 level.Bushveld's precarious finances and actions taken make me believe that Largo may benefit from ...more
