Reason for SP movements as of late...any ideas?

I'm curious to know. POG was stable today.

LSG is dead money for now. Had an incrdible run and is now fairly valued. Gold continues to be flat to drip lower. LSG only moves higher on discovery news....... To me will be stuck between >95 and 1.15 for some time.

LSG has stabilized! It's future is huge and I will not sell it at this time. I think with more reserve news it will significantly increase in value or will be bought!
Comment by jpgoldilocks on Oct 26, 2014 4:26pm
Personally, I believe that it's just a matter of time before we are bought. As proven reserves increase, and with gold not going significantly higher anytime soon, we simply won't have the cash to mine what we've got. In due course Tony will have no choice (pushed by large stakeholders) to find a partner or more likely a buyer. That's why some big boys are loading up. I just hope ...more

What "bigboys" are loading up? Link, evidence, or just talking?

Do you not read the posts on here? On a regular basis folks report on the huge position of GDXJ, currently well in excess of 60 million shares.

As a quick calc: Junior Gold Miners ETF  62729859 shares amounts to 15% of LSG Float All Major Fund shareholders: 87,510,293 Shares amounts to 20.7% of float assuming 422,500,000 shares out. All in all, a 15% or even a 20% ownership cannot match the public's 80% for control. Just my thoughts IMHO GP

Icahn is getting changes through at apple with much, much less that 15%, I think it's not even 1% but I'm not 100% sure of that. I would not be the least surprised if Van Eck takes a run at some board seats soon. That's a big chunk of shares, I doubt they are buy and hold guys waiting for a 5 year pay off.
Comment by rusted1 on Oct 26, 2014 7:07pm
you really do need to due more work suggest you find out what van eck is before you project their intentions you might be surprised at their passivity
Comment by HARJAY on Oct 26, 2014 7:47pm
With all due respect , since you raised the issue of who they are and their strategy in ownership,  possibly you can provide the research and insight to the BB you are suggesting. Thank You !! HARJAY

I'm not sure who that is directed at, but if you are looking for market research, may I suggest you look elsewhere and pay for it? This is a "bull"board after all, not the waterhouse site.
Comment by sens93 on Oct 26, 2014 10:38pm
Buy and hold guys is exactly what they are. Its an ETF.......... they have zero interest in getting board seats. ETF's are not activist.

Well, since I posted many many times on this ETF, obv I am aware. So you think 1 global mining etf is a "big boy loading up"? Gimme a break. They have 2.5B to put to work, and if they were Loading up they would have raised their allocation of 2.6 percent. This is not an example of a "big boys loading up".

sens93 , you are correct as you say this is merly a fund , the positive here for us is that they have a nice interest in Lakeshore as a profit making tool for there fund.they bring positive attention to Lakeshore.gltal p.s. the only question i can't answer is will they be satified with a 40% premium and move on or have our backs for what Lakeshore is really worth.
