Let's see if there is a resurrgence in testing in the future as the threat of COVID becomes more fully appreciated...

8. Vaccines help, but only some.

The importance of testing could be increasing for viruses. I've seen a report on CBS that whether a child, adult, or elderly person if they have had COVID the risk for a worse outcome from the other viruses is also increasing.  Here's some data concerning COVID refinfection and the rising risks with repeat infection.
