With the AGM less than a week away, the company will consider itself in a blackout period since operational issues are bound to be discussed.

Aren't blackout/close periods legally only for earnings releases? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Blackouts are most normally associated with financial results but also apply when any material information is to be disclosed. Given the jitters on this site from armchair chemists, an update on leaching progress would clearly be material.
