Wallford sells 500000 shares.

Beacon Securities restated their buy rating on shares of Marathon Gold (TSE:MOZ) in a research report sent to investors on Tuesday morning. Beacon Securities also issued estimates for Marathon Gold’s Q1 2020 earnings at $0.00 EPS, Q2 2020 earnings at ($0.01) EPS, Q3 2020 earnings at $0.00 EPS, Q4 2020 earnings at ($0.01) EPS, FY2020 earnings at ($0.02) EPS, FY2021 earnings at ($0.02) EPS and FY2022 earnings at ($0.01) EPS.
 
Separately, National Bank Financial boosted their price objective on Marathon Gold from C$2.25 to C$2.50 and gave the company an outperform rating in a research report on Wednesday, April 8th.
 
 
In other Marathon Gold news, Director Phillip Charles Walford sold 500,000 shares of Marathon Gold stock in a transaction on Thursday, April 16th. The stock was sold at an average price of C$1.36, for a total transaction of C$677,700.00. Following the sale, the director now owns 4,658,612 shares of the company’s stock, valued at approximately C$6,314,282.70.

Also Sherry sold shares after exercising  options at .20 to.25 cents. Good for Wallford and Sherry. Time to enjoy some fruits of their labours. Besides that with pending restart of drilling hopefully in May I will make a wild guess they may try and raise more cash sometime after the AGM? Just my thoughts. Between now and the end of 2020 we should have a good idea what the future for Marathon will look like.

That will be disappointing given only a short time ago Mansen stated publicly that they would not be raising more cash until towards the end of the year. Unless they want to accelerate drilling in the Sprite corridor, but they have quite a bit of drilling to get done under the current program.

I agree with Bearcat they will most likely want to include an agressive drilling program in the Sprite area before going for additional funding. AGM should be sometime towards the end of May and new assays will be slow in coming so assuming they are good, late summer early fall may see financing done. Should not be an issue and hopefully at a price closer to the $1.70-$2.00 range. Bottom line ...more

Financing is a non issue as this company will be taken over prior to additional funds being required.
