Sold today

Sure hated to give up on the 8%, but I'll be back when insiders buy again.

Just looking at the chart, it looks like this wants to settle somewhere around 7.

Nope..I don't think it's company insiders. Don't think they can do any buying or selling during the blackout period before ernings release. As I said before it must be a Institution that is getting out.   2011 Year End and Fourth Quarter Results Release Date NAL expects to release its 2011 year-end reserves and year-end financial and operating results on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 ...more

Al42 is correct...no insider dumpting allowed so close to earnings release. So everyone should just relax and collect the div.  It's already been cut, and the SP reflects this.  Assuming no more nasty surprises on Tuesday, we should start climbing back to the $8-8.50 range.

I did not find the Nal insider rules, but what I did find at the TSX indicated a seven day blackout period. If the markers are to be believed these sales are certainly insiders. By definition these are either company employees, directors, or anyone owning more than 10%. My broker shows no indiviuals or entities owning more than 10% and total insider ownership of less than 500,000. So if these are ...more

For more information on TSX Marker reports, follow this link:https://www.inkresearch.com/faq.php Question 4 and its answer seem to address the issue of the discrepancy between SEDI reports and Marker Reports. I admit to being unnerved by this data, it could be incorrect but I lightened my load by 2/3's on Friday. I am inclined to think that there is a plausible explanation, in which case I can ...more

The holding is the second percentage, the first is the change from last report. So none are over 10%. Terr

There are so plenty of tricks involving regulations with various exemptions and so on. The markets are just designed to bilk the retail part of it. Our money is treated like donations to the rich. I’m sure the insiders wouldn’t cross something called fraud; they just use some kind of loopholes (allowable frauds) that allow them to trick us with most consequences as a slap on a wrist, if any. Just ...more

Why would someone so paranoid and cynical even play the game??????  its a simple process buy.. (in this case collect divy) then sell... collect or pay the difference....  If your sole sell decision is based on part info even if it is accurate then you have no one to blame but yourself.  I've made lots of mistakes at this game... but they were all my own final decisions in the ...more

"Our money is treated like donations to the rich."   If you stop to think about it, you will see that almost everybody on this site is rich.

True, but this information is playing into the effects of very low gas prices, and a heavy discount on Canadian oil. Attention is now going toward the effect of Nat Gas on proven and probable reserves, shut in production, asset write-downs, and bank lines; these then affect the ability to execute capital budgets. Nal is far from immune from these winds, with relatively high draw on bank line and ...more
