The way I read this news release, these are not additional grants but rather: Of all the recent grants issued, we have now claimed back 12.5MM CAD of funds that were previously spent and for which we provided said governments receipts which have subsequently been approved?
This is fantastic that we now have evidence that any spending on automation of Candiac 1 will be reimbursed by the various governments that have issued grants. However, this also demonstrates that celebration of grants being issued in and of themselves might be premature since reminbursable grants are not necessarily money in the bank. They are only a promise that we will get capital deployed returned to us if our receipts are "approved". This news release demonstrates that approval of receipts and subsequent reimbursement is in and of itself worthy of a news release? This news release begs an obvious and important question: Was any of this 12.5MM CAD that was reimbursed to Nano One issued from the USA DoD? The news release references "various governments". So which ones?
I trust the Canadian grants will be honored in full. But what about the DoD grants? Are those grants worth the paper they are written on? Are any of these reimbursements from this specific news release approved by the current USA administration?
All-in-all, fantastic update and happy to see we are getting capital reimbursements in alignment with grants issued. That is any way you slice it a fantastic update for Nano One and all shareholders.
