A new shateholder
I bought into Nutrien this week for the first time . I had very good luck with Viterra ( Saskatchewan Wheat Pool ) when Mayo Schmidt was the CEO . Now that he will become CEO of Nutrien , I bought in . I wouldn't have bought otherwise . This guy knows his stuff and makes things happen . He never got a chance at Ontario Hydro because Doug Ford didn't like that he made 20 times what Ford made . I think Mayo is worth a sizeable pay package and I think the shares will head towards 100 dollars a share in the next year or two . Increasing share value is what a CEO is supposed to do . Just one retired Salesmans opinion .

The rumours mill has it that Schmidt wants to partner with BHP, not sure if that is a good thing

I think your timing is good. They are increasing production by 500,000 tonnes in 2nd half. They are quitely in talks with BHP because they drilled 2 shafts each 1000 metres & now they need a real potash company to takeover & manage it.BHP are miners not in the potash game. Also Belarius may have santions put on them. These reasons I am bullish on potash & Nutrien.
